We’ve recently been featured on the awesome FarPastPost web radio show/podcast.
Please check out the site and station and support them by downloading it, fanning them on Facebook and reading their blog.
They play a lot of cool music from bands like Pelican, Cult of Luna, Sigur Ros, Bardo Pond, and dozens and dozens of others. Very cool way to discover new bands in this genre.

We played last night at The Haunt in Ithaca, courtesy of the always cool Ithaca Underground (thanks Bubba!).
Unfortunately, Rosetta had to cancel at the last minute so they didn’t play.
But, after our set which started up the festivities, we were treated to the awesome-ness of Junius. These four excellent musicians are from Boston and will be embarking on their third tour of Europe on Tuesday.
Junius brought amazing big rock to the Haunt last night.
We highly recommend them. It reminded me a lot of early 2000s Cave In, with heavy riffs, great melodies, and soaring vocals. So, yeah, go buy some Junius.
One other cool thing they had going on was an integrated light show that the two guitar players and bass player controlled through footswitches. We’re stealing that idea ASAP.
(On a side note, kudos to the sound guy at the Haunt. I don’t know what we sounded like since I was in stage, but the sound quality for Junius was incredible.)

Here are a few photos from Friday’s show at Spool Mfg. with Summer People, OneManRiot and Barons In The Attic.
Thanks to everyone who came out!
Summer People had a pretty cool overhead stage setup.
Barons In The Attic from Albany played great uppity rock with almost a rock-a-billy twinge.
One Man Riot with a full band was very cool, very creative.

After not playing a ton over the last year or so, we have several shows coming up in the next month.
On Friday, September 18, we’ll be playing at a very cool local art gallery called Spool Mfg. in Johnson City (just blocks from our practice space at the Goodwill Theatre actually). The show is the CD release for Summer People, who are always good. OneManRiot will round out the bill. Show starts at 7 PM with a $5 admission.
Next on the schedule, we’ll be playing good ol’ Fitzies Irish Pub in Binghamton on Saturday, October 3. Our shows at Fitzies always go late and are tons of fun so we’re looking forward to this one. Terrible Sparrow plus two more TBA bands will be playing with us. There will be no door charge and the festivities will start at 10 PM.
Finally, we’re slated to play in Ithaca at The Haunt on Saturday, October 10. This is another show brought to you by our friends at the Ithaca Underground, who bring in the best bands from all over the country. On this show, Junius from Boston and Rosetta from Philadelphia will also be bringing the rock. It’s an early show with doors opening at 5 PM with a $6 cover charge.
We also have some other shows tentatively scheduled locally for 9/25 and 10/2 but we’ll wait to post on those until they’re confirmed.

This Sunday, Swath and 10 other bands will be playing the BelmarFest and BBQ at (not surprisingly) the Belmar bar located at 95 Main Street in Binghamton.
Check out the flyer below for details on the bands and other stuff.
The show will be held outside with lots o’ BBQ and lots o’ beer – so that should mean it’ll be lots o’ fun.
Swath should be playing in the 6 PM range.
Also, Kevin’s other band, Dance-A-Tron, will be making its debut with new guitar player – and Binghamton legend – Mike Escott. And we have insider info that they’ll be playing a surprising cover tune. They are slated to play around 4 PM.
